Hot Off the Press

Today's Seattle Post-Intelligencer includes a lovely feature on the store and the world's largest photograph of me, three days post-baby (a fact they unfortunately neglect to mention in light of the photograph of me looking, well, not slim).

Read it here, where thankfully there is no photo included: http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/372289_retail26.html

This Just In

With the fabulous Seattle weather comes fabulous new inventory at Revival Home & Garden. Some of our favorites:

Set of turquoise porcelain vases of assorted sizes, beautiful as a grouping or individually.

Cowhide ottoman with iron "X" base, one of two we have in stock. Perfect at the foot of the bed or tucked under a console.

Graceful side table, the perfect size to work in any space, alone or in a pair. (We think everything else in the photo is pretty fabulous, too.)

We're now carrying jewelry from Kenneth Jay Lane; we've long admired his incredible cocktail rings on the pages of almost every fashion mag we can think of, and now we're selling them ourselves. The KJL items have been flying off the shelves, so we'll be placing another order shortly.

Set/3 gilded bamboo nesting tables (the medium-sized table is shown here).

One of a pair of canary yellow table lamps.

White twig mirrors and pair of decorative mirrored towers--great on a mantle.

Vintage Louis chair (one of two) and Jonathan Adler greek key pillow (we have an extreme greek key obsession).

Vintage French glass chandelier

Vintage ornamental iron piece and handmade concrete pots of various sizes.

Incredible vintage tufted leather porter's chair, used by doormen of yore to guard against wind and weather while awaiting door activity inside and out of most likely a swanky Manhattan residence.

Pair of nickel sconces...very glam!

Pair of vintage chandeliers, newly refurbished and rewired. Somewhat gothic in feel.

Incredible set of 4 vintage dining chairs from the 1950s/60s with ORIGINAL upholstery still intact! Nailhead trim and charming details make these to die for, especially with the white lacquer dining table on the floor.

"Zebra" wool rug from Jonathan Adler, a much more humane (and humorous) interpretation of the zebra hides we've been seeing everywhere.

As always, everything looks better in person, so come on in and see for yourself.

New Arrival

We're thrilled to announce our greatest new arrival in the store's (albeit brief) history: Romy June Steen, who surprised us two weeks early by joining us Monday morning.

I've had the chance to meet many of you since the store opened in March, and you certainly couldn't help but notice that a baby was on the way, so I thought you would enjoy learning that she's here...healthy and happy and lovely.

As a result of her joining us, we have hired a new employee to help out for the next three months while Romy and I take some time to get to know one another. I will still be working on design projects as time allows, and coming back on most weekends after a month or so, but will never be more than a phone call or e-mail away if needed.

Romy will be helping out at the store here and there, so stop by and say hello when you get a chance.
