Last week we welcomed the arrival of one of the most fabulous chairs we've seen in the flesh that *wasn't* in a Kelly Wearstler-designed property, although this one does indeed conjure shades of Wearstler.
It's a vintage leather hooded porter's chair, complete with button-tufted interior and aged brass nailhead trim surrounding the front. What is a porter's chair, you ask? Doormen of yore sat in them beside the door to escape the incoming drafts from the door opening and closing. Why must you have one, you ask? Because hardly anyone else does. Isn't that reason enough?
